Was with D Trp 1/1 Cav. Nov.70 till Aug.71 seen Russ Carmean's name in the guestbook remembered him from nighthawk and him telling us about Firebase maryann when they were overrun wanted to say hi

I knew Jim but not very well. There are a couple photos of him in my "Blue's Platoon" album on this site. The photo of Jim in the field (with his M-60) has a comment by one of his close friends, Bennett, along with Bennett's email address. You can likely get much better information about Jim from Bennett than from me. I had an email address for Jim's sister and sent her some photos but have now lost her contact info. Bennett likely knows how to contact her too.

Did ANYONE know Jim Annella from La Meas Ca. He was kia apprx.03-05-70. Any and all help yould be GREATLY appreciated regaurding info. pertaining to his stay,comrades,and action while in country.THANK YOU ALL for your time during this turbulant era in ALL our lives!!!

Today is the 37th anniversary of the rocket attack on Chu-Lai. I lost several friends when the dispensary got a direct hit. My good friend, Kenneth "Beetle" Robertson was killed among others. I was standing at the exact spot about 3 hours earlier that day. It really makes me think, even after all these years. We never know when it is our time. I remember that I had a hard time dealing with death and dying in VN and one time I made an appointment with a chaplain and he told me that I needed to see a schrink. I guess he couldn't give me what he didn't have himself. About 8 months after I came home from Nam I became a Christian and I now have hope for my eternity. Sorry, to bring up this rocket attack, it still is present in my mind. May you all find peace in our Lord. Wes Moss

I wanted to attend your reunion this year but missed it. Your Cobra is mounted in our Veteran's Park in a AH-1F configuration and is in great shape.

Served with 570th TC & F Troop from 7/69 - 7/70 Was a Scout gunner for a few months flew with George Dodge, Joe Rowan, and Red 1 Capt. Bentley. Al Novak & Geno Lipnis helped with training before Al rotated and Gene had his unfortunate accident. I remember when Ray Graver and Sgt. Berg went down with Mr. Norton and were lost. Also remember when we lost Ponce and Harder from lift. Was nice to find this web site and will visit it again. dpalubicki@crmanagement.com

I was not a member of your organization but
one of my good friends and schoolmates was.
I just found out this year 2007 that
Gary D. Freeman died in 2003 in a crash.
He was a great friend as a young man and
a 1966 graduate of Burleson Highschool
Burleson,Texas. I graduated in 1967 and
lost track of him due to military service.
We were all a little better off by knowing

Hello everyone my Dad was a blueghost Ftroop 8 from 69 to 70 he just passed away on Sep 9, Im very saddend by this all I have from his past is his army pic and a pacth and group photo.I would like to know if anybody would remember him or have pics my email is mustangblaster3@aol.com.I have great respect for all of you and was proud to be his son thank you.
